Graffiti Vidfie

This is one of my Vdifes taken at Hosier Lane in Melbourne, the lane way is a popular destination for tourists and locals to admire all the street art on display. Many people love to have their photo taken in front of their favourite piece of street art. There are even tours that explain some of the history of the lane way and who has adorned its walls. I can’t say for sure but it is possible that the famous Banksy may have done a few pieces in the past, i will have to do my homework on that one

Fun Park Vidife

This Vidfie was taken inside St Kilda’s Luna Park where it was a real busy day. I tried to show a few of the rides and managed to get some of the roller coaster in the shot as well as the Ferris Wheel and a few other smaller rides. The best Vidfies entice the viewer to play them again to see what they missed the first time. I think this one is that type of Vidfie.

Bourke Street Mall Vidfie

This Vidfie is taken in the popular Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, the train driver gives me a warning ‘ding’ just to let me know he’s right behind me. But i knew he was there and timed the vidfie to include the tram. So all was good and ¬†we even get to hear the busker i was just watching only seconds earlier. One of my favourite vidfies for sure.

Federation Square Vidfie

I must admit i quite like this Vidfie as it shows off Melbourne’s Federation Square and the Old Church opposite Flinders Street Train Station. At the 12 second mark you can see the mobile ticket sales booths for the Australian Tennis Open, lot’s of people were already lined up to get their ticket for the grand slam. This one of my best Vidfies for sure!

So What is a Vidfie ??

A Vidfie is a short {ten to twenty second video} Showing your self and your current location. Basically it is an extension of the Selfie but takes advantage of the fact nearly all phones have a good quality video option as part of the phone’s operating system. As this Vidfie show’s I am at a famous graffiti lane in Melbourne Australia, it is called Hosier Lane and is always being updated and the graffiti in the Vidfie would have been painted over by now. So it was handy to capture a piece of history in the Vidfie. The question is, where will you do your first Vidfie? Don’t forget to post them on Youtube!
