Fun Park Vidife

This Vidfie was taken inside St Kilda’s Luna Park where it was a real busy day. I tried to show a few of the rides and managed to get some of the roller coaster in the shot as well as the Ferris Wheel and a few other smaller rides. The best Vidfies entice the viewer to play them again to see what they missed the first time. I think this one is that type of Vidfie.

Bourke Street Mall Vidfie

This Vidfie is taken in the popular Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne, the train driver gives me a warning ‘ding’ just to let me know he’s right behind me. But i knew he was there and timed the vidfie to include the tram. So all was good and  we even get to hear the busker i was just watching only seconds earlier. One of my favourite vidfies for sure.

Federation Square Vidfie

I must admit i quite like this Vidfie as it shows off Melbourne’s Federation Square and the Old Church opposite Flinders Street Train Station. At the 12 second mark you can see the mobile ticket sales booths for the Australian Tennis Open, lot’s of people were already lined up to get their ticket for the grand slam. This one of my best Vidfies for sure!

How To Make a Vidfie

So what is a Vidfie ?? …That is the burning question !

~

A vidfie is a spinning ten to twenty second 360 degree video aiming at yourself to show your current locationm as you spin around, the plural is vidfies. A vidfie is also listed in the Urban Dictionary in this manner and also the Collins English Dictionary. There are also clips on Youtube under the same heading, it really does seem this word will be the natural progression of the term selfie. It’s not too surprising when you consider nearly every smartphone comes with a video camera which allows for easier video shots.  The online Slang Dictionary also has a listing …. seems this new word is gathering momentum ! If you make a Vidfie and post it on YouTube you can then add your vidfies to this site!

It’s not too hard to do either, simply upload your vidfie to your YouTube account (if you don’t have one just create one via your google+ account, it should let you just add a profile/account. Then once you have your Youtube account you simply upload a Vidfie file form your computer that you have done and once it’s uploaded you click publish. Then watch the Vidfie and click ‘Share” and then click “Embed” and you will see the code you have to copy and paste to the Vidfie.Com website. Below this will be a video showing you how to post your new Vidfie to share with the world and you will see it’s not too hard to do at all! Try and pick some fun locations for your Vidfies and they will be even better. Forget Selfies, we live in a Video world and Vidfies are the next trend to come after selfies. So turn that cam on and start slowly spinning and then add to this site. It’s just so easy. Now please note as we are just getting this started I will need to approve the Vidfies, later on when you have done a few Vidfies I will set it that you can post without needing approval, please bare with me for the moment, thanks! If you wish to join the site and put your vidfie on here, you can contact me at the form below, of course if you’re a spammer we just delete that stuff! There are now more and more Vidfies on Youtube, have you done one yet?
